If yous havent bought it yet don't!!!
This is the worst vehicle I accept e'er owned. It has had a leaking valve cover gasket twice! The seals are going bad in the doors and it leaks water and hums when driving down the highway. The truck was built with a tin foil type cloth that dents when yous push on it too difficult with your thumb. The worst part almost this vehicle is that it will never go over 17 MPG and averages 14 every Colorado owner I have talked with says the aforementioned thing. I think the only good matter about the Selection-Up is that it gets around good in the snow. Besure that in that location is no other vehicle on the Planet before you buy this truck.

The Truck : 2005 Crew Cab, 4x4, Z71, LS The Skilful : The exterior has held upwardly very overnice. Information technology is a fairly comfortable ride. The Bad : The interior is irksome and the materials are Cheap plastic. Why can't GM produce a quality interior, especially for what they charge for their vehicles? Our machine seat will merely fit in the middle of the back seat because of the awkward headrests.

I have a 2005 Colorado v cyl Machine. I like the utility of the vehicle however the ABS when the unit is in snowfall and four wheel drive is unsafe. In an emergency finish situation the vehicle will not stop. It is like the system is pushing back. Normal stopping is ok if yous lightly feather the brakes that does not piece of work in an emergency. I accept spoken to other owners in winter and the problem is rather common. Still looking for a solution short of disconnecting the ABS in winter. Or selling the truck in warm weather condition. I have been driving in New England for 50 years + and this thing actually scares me a chip.

Every bit stated the vehicle is average. Not super on MPG (or as advertised) but does qualify well in cargo space and light hauling (Towing). Suprizing is the low RPM'due south at higher highway speeds... this is a manual transmission with a more than hefty to operate clutch. Affordable available Bling can be purchased and installed with ease for sprucing upwardly the basic model. It'due south even so New to me so fourth dimension will yeild more than of an opinion as to it's overall value and practability.

My principal complaint with this truck is the cheap interior and wind and road racket. I accept the 2.viii model with automatic z-71 model. NO Carpeting - vinyl on the floors, extreme wind noise from the passenger side and with the stiff suspension, the route dissonance. Also, on the drivers side rear backside the cab, it sounds every bit if something is loose. as far as mileage - xx city, 25 hwy. A great looking truck, only wish i had looked effectually more for something a litter better.

this picayune truck is just that little i bought this truck becasue of reviews of a friend who said he loved his and loved the gas mileage. The Colorado is a great truck for an outdoor enthusiast information technology goes through the snow awesome 12inches last winter ice angling (although i take put kelly atr tires on) and it goes through the mud well also its small-scale plenty for hunting big wood and manuevering on logging roads but it does not have a potent enough suspension for towing i have a 16 ft. tracker aluminum boat that really squats my truck the interior is a little plain and the seating isnt very comfy although you do have alot of leg room in the forepart but inappreciably any in the back seat, and the gas mileage is terrible for a small-scale truck the all-time i have ever gotten was 15mpg the worst 12 i dont empathize it the little 5 banger is not very efficient my buddies colorado is getting in the neighborhood of 20 mpg and mine 15 on a farewell going down hill he did yet say that he ordered his with 410 gears just i still believed i should get ameliorate mileage than i am. The trade in value sucks on these trucks i have 44000 miles in fantabulous shape and it lists at 12k. I cant wait to get rid of this truck and buy a full size truck again. Im only getting 15mpg my wife has a gmc yukon denali with 22inch rims and a 6.0 liter engine that gets fourteen- 16 mpg the only reason i down graded from a full size to this colorado was for the gas mileage boy was that a mistake aforementioned gas mileage half the truck

Truck is reliable. I've got virtually 200k on it now. The manual went well-nigh 180k. I judge that is to be expected. I have some huge complaints virtually the truck, though. Lamps are always going out, and headlamps go moisture in them. My biggest complaint is the heater. Information technology'due south noisier than a 79 jeep heater. I have to run it on half speed to hear the radio comfortably. It's been stock-still past the dealer twice. Once they replaced the switch/resistor due to intermittent blower working. Another fourth dimension, they replaced the blower. I virtually hate this truck due to the blower. If you're looking to buy, definitely check out the heater on high speed. Maybe mine is just an oddball.

I bought my Colorado used in the summer of 2005. I bought the ZQ8 model which features sporty functioning and the upgraded engine. The engine in this is great, if yous are looking for a truck that has sports car performance then the ZQ8 edition is for you. The torque never stops, and the truck handles beautifully. I highly reccomend going with a manual transmission and upgrading to stiffer springs for added performance. The only bone I had to choice with the Colorado's performance is the speed governor which you hit at 98 mph. The interior of this truck is the worst part. Rainbow colored seats and cheap grey plastic truly turned me off to this truck. The stereo organisation was also very weak. Mechanically I ran into very few problems, I drove this truck very hard and it held together nicely. I would not purchase some other one of these trucks as they don't agree whatever residual value what so e'er. If you plan on buying one, plan on keeping information technology for a very long time... You lot are better off buying a Tacoma if you can afford it.

I have had this truck for nearly a year and half and have loved it. I went from a full size Chevy truck to this and have never regretted information technology. I also looked at the Tacoma, Frontier and Dakota. In the end it came downward to the cost of the truck and the value for it. The others could not even come close. I routinely utilise this for commuting, camping, road trips and managing some rentals I own. For me this truck is perfect. It is relatively inexpensive, fits in the garage easy, has a large enough bed to fit stuff and is thousands cheaper than the Japanese contest. Information technology also gets great gas mileage (Consistently 18-xix city and low 22-23 on the highway). If this was ever wrecked and I had to buy another truck I would look for the aforementioned i. The comments almost the interior are very valid and I think GM should do a better job on making the interior more highly-seasoned. Having said this, in the end this would increase the cost of the truck and, every bit mentioned, the cost was i of the main reasons I was attracted to this truck. A final annotation I think this truck fulfills its purpose equally an economical vehicle that offers exceptional value, particularly used.

I leased this vehicle new and put 53000 kms on it. I practise alot of off-roading, and so the brusque box quad cab 4x4 is great. The truck handles well in all situations and 4x4 in snowfall and mud is cracking. The just downfall with the vehicle, is leg room and seat condolement. The seats are stiff and leg room in back is minimal, however a fun truck and good on gas.

I bought my '05 Coiffure Cab Z71 LS Oct. '07 w/21,000 miles on information technology. I have loved this little truck since the first day I sat downward in it. I continue to get 19-22 MPG and never have a problem pulling our popup camper with it. I have only owned 3 trucks in my 35yrs (I bulldoze them until the wheels fall off) all of them Chevrolets and and so far this one has been my favorite one. I would recommend this truck to anyone. It has ample room for 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 kids. Putting 6 folks in it, even so gets a piddling crammed but tin can exist ok on short trips. It'south a sharp truck and I have had many compliments on it. I run into others lament almost the "interior" elements, only for me its perfect. A piffling cleaning and armourall keeps it looking nifty!

I've endemic this truck for 3 years to date, and being my first truck I've always endemic I can't complain much about information technology. The other reviews I've read stated that this vehicle gets below twenty MPG. Non true for me. I've averaged 18-nineteen in the city and 26 on the highway. The highest MPG on the highway I ever recorded was 29, and I mean NO stops on the way. Information technology does take a "hum" to it, but its past no means annoying or irritating. I own a Z71 Coiffure Cab and the rear seating is cozy, simply not extremely roomy like the Silverados. I LOVE the exterior styling of this vehicle. Real Sharp. The only thing I wasn't real crazy about were the interior features and design. GMC / Chevy exercise need to improve in this area to compete with Toyota and Nissan. Overall its a good bargain.
